JLO: Save Me Tonight

Chris Armstrong stood just outside the grand ballroom, adjusting his jacket for the third time. Inside, the buzz was building—Joe and Nelly’s wedding was already shaping up to be something legendary. Music, laughter, and a guest list that looked like a surreal mix of Hollywood, music royalty, and neighborhood legends.

He spotted her across the lobby.

JLO.

Calm, poised, radiant as ever—like she knew every eye in the room would eventually land on her.

Chris took a breath, walked over, and tried to play it cool.

“Hey… Jennifer.”

She turned, giving him that signature half-smile. “Chris, right? You look like a man on a mission.”

He laughed nervously. “Yeah, well… I was hoping I could convince you of something.”

She raised an eyebrow. “That sounds dangerous already.”

Chris shrugged. “Joe and Nelly’s wedding… it’s a big deal. And I figured—why not go all in? So… would you be my date tonight?”

She studied him for a moment, amused.

“Bold,” she said. “I like that.”

Chris exhaled slightly, sensing he hadn’t been shut down—yet.

“But tell me,” she continued, crossing her arms playfully, “what makes you think you can keep up with me on a dance floor?”

Chris grinned. “I can’t. Not even close. But I’ll try—and I won’t embarrass you too much.”

She laughed—genuine this time.

“That might be the best answer I’ve heard all week.”

A beat passed. The music from inside swelled louder as the doors opened briefly—someone shouting Joe’s name, Nelly laughing in the background.

JLO looked toward the ballroom, then back at Chris.

“Alright,” she said. “You’ve got yourself a date.”

Chris blinked. “Wait—seriously?”

“Seriously,” she said, slipping her arm through his. “But you are dancing.”

“No promises,” he said.

“Oh, there are promises now,” she replied, already guiding him toward the doors.

As they stepped into the chaos of the wedding, the room seemed to shift—Joe shouting greetings, Nelly glowing, the DJ cranking the music higher.

Chris leaned in slightly. “You realize this just became the greatest wedding entrance of all time.”

JLO smirked. “Stick with me, Chris. It’s only getting started.”
